Hey guys, I recent bought a Evo 16g to put in but the manifold I bought that said would fit a 16g wasn't so I'm assuming it wasn't for the evo 16g. I was wondering where I could find a manifold that would fit it, would Evo turbo manifolds work? Any advice would help alot, I don't really know that much about all the flanges and the exchangability of the evo and eclipse. Thanks alot
:dsm:

The exhaust manifolds from 1g or 2g DSM's fit the EvoIII 16g. What manifold do you have? Can you take pictures of yours?

its a 16g off a evo 8...I dont have pictures because I didnt get the engine shipped yet, but I want to upgrade to a tubular manifold either way...

O sorry, I didn't realize that you were going from N/T to turbo with a newer Evo turbo. I don't believe the DSM manifolds will fit the Evo 8 turbo, being that the turbo is a mirror of what the DSM turbos are. The Evo 8 manifold will bolt up to the DSM head and the Evo 8 turbo will obviously bolt up to the Evo 8 manifold. I found this post, this should explain basically all of it for you.

so basically, this is going to be a giant pain to do...I should just return the 08 16g or resell it and buy the Evo III then I suppose?

Yeah selling the turbo then getting an MHI Evo III 16g would be better.

Evo's have the engines 180* the other way from ours. So everything is on the opposite side of ours.

It is possible to use the turbo, but it would require alot of fabrication for the intake and the downpipe area.

Should have looked into this BEFORE buying the turbo, well thats one mistake I wont make again haha thanks alot for all the help guys!

Well you could still use the set-up, either way you're going to have to get custom parts. Just a thought.

just bought a MHI Evo III 16g so I shouldn't have a problem hooking that up Im guessing haha
