I have a 93 Talon TSI 2.0 Automatic and I am wanting to put a 16g turbo on it. Will the stock manifold bolt up to it? I know I will probably have to change the o2 housing, but do I need to change the manifold? If so, what would be the best option to go. I have searched Ebay for some, but am not sure what will bolt up to the turbo and my engine with no modifications. Would there be anything else that I should change before adding the 16g turbo?

here is the turbo I am looking at :

Thanks!

Ok first on list of things that I would recomend is not to by a turbo from ebay.. its just not a good idea and you might have to replace it within a week of use. I would pick up a turbo from slowboy or extreme psi just to random places that would much safer to purchase a turbo from. Next on that list since you are in an automatic you will need to get bigger injectors because the 1g auto's came with 390cc and not the 450 like the manuals did or the 2g. The stock manifold will be fine to bolt the up the new turbo if you can pick up a 2g manifold for cheap, it flows better and is less prone to cracking. I would also pick up a fuel pump because that turbo flows much more air than the 13g. you may also want to pick up a ss oil line it will make the install just that much easier.

i think i have read somewhere that the 2g manifolds have smaller ports. I may be thinking backwards though. Since I have a very limited budget, I am wanting to find the best deals on parts without spending thousands of dollars on upgrade parts. I am not sure what size turbo is on the car now because I just bought it about a month ago with 2 bent valves which I have replaced. The turbo has TD04 marked on the side and it looks like it has been replaced before. It has a small crack along the exhaust side of the turbo where the middle clamp is. I have been having a problem with it burning rich and I think it is due to the exhaust leak causing the turbo to take longer to spool. In order to upgrade the turbo, what are the things that I would need to get?
