Hello, everyone. I need to know if I need to order a specific exhaust manifold gasket for my evo 3 16g manifold or can I just order one that is specifically for a 1g stock manifold?

Also I took off my evo 3 turbo off the exhaust manifold. Will I need to replace the metal gasket between the turbo and exhaust manifold? The one that was in there looks pretty good, I think it is pretty new since the previous owner barely installed the new turbo on before I bought it. Thanks.

its always better to replace all the gaskets you remove unless they haven't been used alot or don't seem worn... i always replace every gasket i remove with a brand new oem gasket..

Ok. I wasnt sure if I sure if I needed to replace the turbo to manifold gasket since it looks pretty good. I will just order a new one then. How about what gasket I need to order. Since I have an evo 3 16g turbo/evo 3 16g manifold though, do I order a 1g oem gasket for both mani to head and turbo to mani or specifically one for an evo 3 16g? Thanks.

first off, theres no such thing as an evo 3 16g manifold. theres an evo 3 manifold. but the 16g is a group of turbos, specifically, small, big, and evo3.

now to your question, no you do not need a special gasket, the flanges are the same since its a bolt on manifold. I'd suggest Forced Performance Turbochargers: Mitsubishi DSM Turbine Housing Inlet Gasket
for the turbo gasket, and then a metal exhaust gasket from whoever.

I have that turbo gasket and I must say that I am extremely pleased with it.

LOL! ROFL It's pretty late and I'm not realizing if I am typing things twice. I know there's no such thing as an 16g manifold. I will definitely look into that gasket you recommended. Thanks for confirming the gaskets, heading to the dealership tomorrow for more parts and wanted to make sure if I needed to order the mani gasket from them. Thanks again.

If your really looking for an indestructible turbine nousing inlet gasket hit up LovinBoost He makes 7cm gaskets and sells them for a much lower price and they will oulast any other gasket out there; and are reusable. trust me you won't regret it man :thumb:
