Help! I need to find a nonturbo exhaust for preferably under $200 shipped. New or used, I don't care. Diameter of actual piping cannot be more than 2.5". Can anyone point me in the right direction. I have found a few OBX exhausts on Ebay that may work, but the people selling won't reply to my questions about diameter. Does anyone know where I can find an exhaust for my nonturbo 2g? What I really need is the pipe that goes over the axle and the muffler! Thank you!

You need an axle back set up. Just go with the eBay 2.5. Any real reason you need just the axle back.

I was backing down a steep driveway and it snapped above the axle. Now the muffler is just dangling off the rubber hangers.

Two nights ago I built what will hopefully be the last muffler setup for my '97 GS after the two previous setups rusted and fell apart inside the canister.

The system is now a full OEM midpipe and OEM over the axle- I then use a Dynomax UltraFlow 17219 full-stainless muffler ($62 shipped on eBay):

...and attached the tip from my old 5Zigen axle-back which rusted out. Here's the end result:

nice looks good

It's not much louder than OEM when cruising around- at 3800 or so it really opens up and has a nice bark. It's not buzzy at all. Exactly what I was shooting for in both sound and fitment....I couldn't be happier.

FYI, the RS/GS and GS-T use interchangeable exhaust systems. But going to an exhaust shop is probably your best bet...

Thanks everyone, I'll probably just buy an axle back off ebay and have a muffler shop do the install. First though I'll call some muffler shops and get an estimate on a custom exhaust. Thanks again everyone, I appreciate your posts!
