So took the Talon to the track the other night for some test runs down the track with the 16g on race gas.

Here's the GoPro footage from the 5 runs. :) Best of the night was a [email protected]. I left the 14-sec run in there as I still managed to beat a Mustang GT coasting through the traps due to the coil plug coming off.

Next time out, hoping to figure out the launch and get a low 12 or maybe squeak a high 11! That would be amazing! I was just happy that it made some clean runs.

very cool. Congrats.

Looking real good. That run that you kicked the coil looked like a good one.

Why don't you throw a little boost at her on the launch? At least get up on the two-step? I think it would help you get out the hole..

Again..Great job.

Yup, you are right! The one where the coil plug came loose was actually my best 60-ft of the night: 2.0-something. So it figures it happened on that one!

I do plan on trying the 2-step again at the Shootout. The problem I have now, is that it seems I only get a chance to race the car once every 6 months or so due to a variety of reasons; most being work... then it's like re-learning how to drive all over again! Now that I got some clean runs out of it, I'm feeling a little more confident about bring it up in rpm. :)

Thanks everyone!

Congrats. Hopefully I will have my 16g set up on this winter or next spring. Beating Mustangs FTW!!

No one says you can't drive the race car to work :) I do it all the time LOL

It'll be coming on a trailer for the shootout. ;) So, planning on it! ha!

11banger: Was more referring to work in general.. I work a job that'll have me out of town nearly 100% f the time and over weekends, so don't get a chance to play at the track very often. :( I have driven the car to work; heck even took it to Indy and back! It can be a pretty fun street car!

Ahh yeah that blows but I understand. Being in the Army doesn't allow me any track time at all. But gotta make the $ to build cars
