BOOSTED IN SO FLO.- Way to have the exact same car I see 20x a day as everyone else. A OEM red Eclipse with an exhuast. Way to be, oh, uh, 'not rice'. Changing anything cosmetically on the car is oh-so-rice.

This coming from the guy with the full "played out" bodykit. Of course you would jump in and defend the guy because your car is the "prime example" of rice. The same car that you see 20X times a day still looks better than your F&F mobile. I took my car from nothing to something in a matter of months, maybe you should follow by starting with the removal of those F&F pieces. Why would you wanna come into a thread titled "Rice" and attack my opinion because it's obviously different from yours? Hmmm...let me guess. Is it because you're the rice leader? Seriously dude, bodykits are played out, get alife and don't attack my opinions.

This is borderline subject matter here, guys. Keep the personal attacks to a nil. Everyone has an opinion on what rice is and what rice isn't, that doesn't make it right OR wrong. How many times a week do we discuss this here? Let's not go down this road again and have this thread cleaned up and locked, like the rest of the 'rice' threads.

Just wanted to say thanks again to all of you with positive comments and creative criticism. Since I already need to have the lip and the quarter-panel dent fixed, I'm just gonna go ahead and take the car back to the shop and have a different rear bumper put on as well and take some more pics without color correction so you guys can see that my paint isn't really screwed up. I think I'll go ahead and cut out the fmic opening on the front bumper and get some fog bezels too (i didn't even know they made them until today). I'm keeping my sideskirts because I honestly like them more than the stock 2bg's and they sit lower and line up better with the front lip. I'm not sure which rear bumper will look right though... any suggestions?

I'm also making it a point to never create another thread with "rice" in the title. It seems to get everyone really pissed off for no reason.

For a rear bumper... maybe just go with the OEM 2gb with a lip. I think it'll flow real nicely with the front and sides you've already got without making it look to.... dare i say it... "ricey."

BTW... i do love those side skirts.

Yea, if you're planning on getting a new rear bumper. I would imagine that the stock 2GB bumper alone would not flow well at all with your side skirts, being that they're very low. I forgot who (squidskins? andysautosport? wingswest?) made a 'lip kit' for the rear on our cars.

For instance, how I haven't spent money on my car in the "right way" and that I "went out and bought a lip instead of fixing my window tint" which is complete BS. My car had it's full body kit and was painted lime green before the f&f movie. Does that make my car an f&f clone or does that make the f&f car a clone of mine? And to me what really made the f&f cars suck was the flying dildos down the side. Body kit or no the color really makes the OP's car look nice. I could care less if any of you don't like my car or think its ricey. And I think you the OP shouldn't care what others think as long as you like it. Its the age old story of ego's or who has the largest *ick. Personally I have learned not to care what others think because I have heard "why did you build a clone of the f&f car that looks so ricey" a million times.

Does that look like a blitz front bumper to you? Pretty sure F&F had a blitz front end, right? HMMM, so, what now? Am I still rice? Because it's custom. The fact that you don't like it or think it's rice doesn't matter nor bother me to the nth degree, but the way you bash opthers with anything other then OEM isn't right. This car has came from being a POS to something I'm proud of. I don't really care what extent you went to, to customize your bodykit so that it can "stand out" from the other riced out bodykitted-dsms out there; I'm not into that type of shit. I'll give you props for your originality and creativity but that's just not my style. As long as you drive a dsm I'm cool with you but the fact that I think bodykits are ricey shouldn't affect you because you have one, I'm entitled to my opinion and it has nothing to do with being hard-headed or ignorant.

Here's what we'll do: You start a new thread with this subject. PM me with a link to it. Ask for other people's suggestions in your thread. Anyone who doesn't reply with an on-topic, thoughtful response to your specific question will get warnings/suspended/whatever. In other words, we'll try to make a thread on DSMtuners regarding an aftermarket rear bumper that does not contain the "R" word.

Till then, this one's done for now.
