Well, I decided im too old to be riding around in a car that looks like it was in the 2gay/2curious movie, so I pulled off the blitz front bumper and the huge wing and put on a 99 oem spoiler, a 2gb front bumper with a polyurethane lip and had it repainted. I think she looks much better.

I'm taking the car to Polk Performance this weekend for a dyno tune and some suspension upgrades. Hopefully I'll have some 500+ whp dyno graphs to post next week.

Looks good :thumb: I think it's really those rims that give it the F&F look.

What's with the front bumper? It seems like the lip and the rest of it didn't join together well enough. And the paint doesn't seem to match either. Regardless, it feels less aggressive and more subtle. I like it.

I might add, maybe you'd ought to cut that piece covering the FMIC, itll help flow a tad little bit(every bit counts), but even more so give it a more aggressive look.

Hahaha, I was hoping no one would notice, but 2 days after I put the lip on the car I was trying to pull it into my friends garage to adjust my throttle cable and the lip snagged the door opening. Long story short, my buddy apparently has no depth perception and didn't warn me that my lip was about to smack the huge gap between the ground and his garage door opening and it almost ripped the lip completely off. I patched it back together but It's gonna have to be repainted. The silver paint has alot of flake in it and it reflects alot of light so the lip looks brighter than it really is in that picture.

I like that front. I have the same kit basically, but my lip is CF and i cut the opening. I think the stock front end (cut) looks great with that lip. I have pics let me know if you want to see.

I like the lip maybe some black rims and tint would set it off.

PLEASE stay away from the TINT, you dont need anymore attention that you already have with 1) a sports car 2) loud exhaust 3) looking ready to kick some ass LOL.

It still looks ricey to me ....If you wanted to "d-rice" it, why didnt you just leave the stock front (no lip) and get stock skirts and rear? Oh and is it me or is your intercooler crooked?

Yep, it's a little crooked. Also my drivers side window is not tinted but the passenger side window is because some duchebag decided to break out my drivers side window and take my sub and amp, as well as the faceplate  for my head unit last week. My car has alot of inperfections that need to be fixed and i'm well aware of them. Unfortunately I don't have enough time and money to fix them all right away.

Never mind the haters. There are enough crappy, riced, dumped, DSMs out there. Enough to make our cars look spectacular. I still get complimented on my car, even with the black, unpainted front bumper.

Wouldnt really call it hating, more like different tastes.Besides, he posted pics on here asking for opinions. And in my opinion it still looks ricey with the bumper and sideskirts and all i could see when i looked at the front was a crooked intercooler and cracked facia.I wasnt trying to be an ass, just giving my .02....sorry if i offended anyone:rolleyes:

Thanks for the compliments everyone. Spyydert, let me see those pics of the intercooler opening cut out if you dont mind. :thumb:

As for the comments for those who dont like the lip or body add on's. I can understand your point of view and I really love the stock 2gb front bumper. However, my car had a full blitz body kit on it before and I knew I wanted to tone down the appearance of my car a bit but I didn't want to remove the whole kit. The 2gb looks a little too plain to match the side skirts and rear bumper plus most eclipses I see are sporting the 2gb so I added the lip to try and make the car look more unique and aggressive. To each his own, the only reason I said I de-ricified my car was based on the comparison of my previous spoiler and blitz bumper to the current look of the car. If you look at the old photos in my profile you will see what I mean. :coy:

Someone did a nice hit and run job on my car while parked downtown last night and left a grapefruit size dent in the rear drivers side quarter panel, so there's one more thing I have to get fixed. :( By the time I pay polk performance for tuning and suspension work, get all my minor body fixes done, and fix my steering rack and minor oil leak problem, I'll probably be out about $2000. I guess when you own a project car it never really gets finished after all. :|
