My favorite front end is the 2gb cut out, with this lip. The other lip (the flat one, RM or something) i dont really think blends with the bumper at all, it just sticks out and wouldn't last too long on my driveway. I like the sides you have more than mine. Mine are molded and that presents a problem, i may cut them off with the next paint job. Here is a picture, sorry it is off-center, its all i could find right now. :( If people d on't like the lambo doors too bad. I like them, it will be a show car, they're staying. :beatentodeath:

Actually now that i look at the two pictures side by side the two lips are a little bit different. Yours has holes in it sort of like the street fighter front. Not bad.
Also My FMIC IS NOT CROOKED it's the angle of the picture.

Im really not liking that front lip at all. Thats just my opinion. The stock body parts look better then anything in my mind. I think your car looked better with the blitz front bumper on. The wing was not all that bad either, for the flow of your car with that kit. I would have just saved the money and left it, but I can see how people want change here and there.

Where are the de-riced pictures? They are not showing up for some reason.
Wow, your so funny.. Your my hero :notgood:

Seriously, every post about some body mod every one always post crapa bout rice... Yeah lets make fun of some oens car because they dont want it to look like every other stock Talon/Exclipse with painted wheels and polished lip on stock ride height!

I think it looks pretty good, not a fan of the lip, but what ever if you like it :thumb:

Why is nobody allowed to modify the exterior of their car anymore if they're also modifying the engine and suspension? Maybe there should be a "Stock exterior forum" where everyone sits around and talks about how they didn't do anything to their exterior. The argument is old. Some people like to modify their exterior, some people don't. It doesnt matter what kind of car were talking about, there's people on both sides of the fence. If youre one of the people that don't, we respect that, but move on.

Thank You! I don't get that much grief on here as one would probably think, but I hate hearing people say how it's stupid to even "waste your money" on such things.

I don't need another financial advisor. A majority of people think it's stupid to spend thousands of dollars on making my DD a 400HP monster. Some people will just never understand. :toobad:

I think it looks awesome like it is. The side skirts look nice and the front lip really does work for the car bit it would look nice either way as the car is really clean. The rear I'd be on the fence on as well, but it's not bad. Where did you get the side skirts from btw?

Wow, your so funny.. Your my hero :notgood:

I hope you know he kinda has a point. Now, look at the thread title. It says "De-Riceified". This guy had a full bodykit so I would say he "partially" De-Riceified his car. He still has on that typical ricey Blitz rear bumper and if anyone says that's not rice you're outta your mind.

Like I said in my initial post "Lose the rear bumper, get some fog bezels, fix the FMIC, cut out the little piece on the front bumper and you should be golden". I would've also recommended removing the sides but they flow with the car.

Im glad people admire me. :thumb:

I honestly dont mind if people change the look of their car, but IMO the car still seems very ricey. All the aftermarket parts look cheaply put on, and the paint doesnt mesh well with the rest of the car. Instead of fixing the tint on the window this guy first decided to buy an lip for his bumper along with the stock spoiler and bumper. If you are going to change the look of your car, at least do it the right way instead of making it look like you paid Jose to paint all your pieces.

This is my opinion so deal with it.

Same to you.

Looks pretty nice I dont like body kits, but you pulled it off quite nicely. I think it'd look a lot more aggressive with the RMDSM lip. I think the lip on there is nice, but maybe a bit too busy. I like the clean look of the RMDSM lip thats why I picked one up for my 2g. Its a warrior too...scrapped it countless times, and its basically in the same condition as from when I got it.

OK pal... If u think my car is ricey and dont like the looks of it I understand and respect your opinion, but don't jump on this forum and act like you know me well enough to make comments about how or when I spend money on my car. For your information, My window was busted out last week (long after the lip and body work was done) so I havent had it re-tinted yet. The lip crack, quarter panel dent, and crooked fmic are all due to mishaps after the body work was done as well. I had the oem front bumper, lip, and the 2gb spoiler all put on the car about a month ago and had the whole car painted with gtr silver. The reason the paint may look funny in the pics is due to the fact that the paint on my car is very reflective as well as the use of picasa contrast correction on the images. The body work was done cheaply and I'll be the first one to admit it is far from perfect. I'm not a rich guy and I've already spent over 12k in performance parts etc (not to mention years busting my knuckles and burning my fingers doing most of the work myself) so I apologize if my car doesnt live up to the standards of your stock laser. I normally wouldn't even respond to a comment as arrogant as yours, but I just cant believe you have the audacity to come on here and tell me or anyone else how or when to spend money on there car when u dont have a clue what your talking about. I swear some people get no other satisfaction out of life other than trying to drag people down. :toobad:

Same to you.

Show me where, in this or any other posting, i have bashed your stock exterior. This is my problem with the "exterior purists", when an OEM look car is posted, you don't see me saying "OMG your car is ugly GET THE CYBER KIT". However I might just say, how about a little individuality?

Do you see me dicking around in the road racing forum? No, because I dont road race. If you do not modify your exterior Im not sure why you are qualified to post in this forum to begin with.

Do you really think you have to have a car with a modified exterior to post in the appearance forum? People have an eye for what "looks good" and "good work". The guy posted his car and asked for opinions, and well, he got our opinions. I'm sure if you put together a poll on here asking for a percentage of people who prefer bodykits over the stock body design, the results would lean more towards the stock body. Why? The 2G Eclipse came from the factory with one of the best body designs for the year they came out, which until today still look better than 80% of the sports cars on the road.

I 100% agree, which is why I do not, and never will, bash someone with a OEM 2g body. The fact that i agree is my whole point. If someone wants lower sideskirts or a front lip, why do the "OEM purists" feel the need to destroy them verbally?

Can someone please define the term "ricey" for me? Because it used to mean a car with altezzas, body kit, 18" rims, and a stock motor. Or I'll even give you the fact that it was produced in an Asian country.

Now even if you are putting down 400 whp from an American assembled 4cyl and have anything but the stock exterior it is ricey.

So how about one of you that keeps using the term define it? Because to me the car doesn't look like rice at all..

Agreed... the car doesn't look ricey to me at all. It just has a more aggressive appearance to it then OEM.

I remember when rice was painting your car neon green or easter egg blue.

I like the body mods, they make ## car look way more aggressive, but I would never do anything but an OEM 97-99 front end conversion for my car.

Atleast hes not running around with a big park bench on the back of his car or some green neon lights, the car is clean. And u have power to back it up ROFL

It's honestly distgusting how many members bash other people for any mods done to their car.

FIRST OF ALL, anyone calling it rice better back something up stating why it's rice OTHER THEN THE FACT IT HAS A BODY KIT.

Second, everyone keeps bashing anyone who doesn't have OEM. Suddenly only OEM is not rice? What about the custom widebody kits team shop cars have? Or that 1200HP Supra with a body kit? Or if you liked the body kit, would it still be rice?? So let me get this straight, it's 'rice' if the accusor doesn't like the way the car looks. Because basically, you're saying ANY car with a body kit is rice. That's why it's their car and not yours. Stop bashing if they're not ####ing OEM all the way.

Sorry if you have a bland and generic taste don't bash mine or anyone else's car because you can't step out of the original box.

BOOSTER SHOT- Since you oviously have no problem bashing other people's cars how about I share my opinion with you? Your car looks like rice. Matter of fact, it looks like a 20 year old civic that came out of the bottom of the Jersey shore. "Just my opinion- dealt with it", right? :thumb:

BOOSTED IN SO FLO.- Way to have the exact same car I see 20x a day as everyone else. A OEM red Eclipse with an exhuast. Way to be, oh, uh, 'not rice'. Changing anything cosmetically on the car is oh-so-rice.

Though you may not like the car, bashing it on more then one post is uncalled for. Period. I know, I know, your guys shit doesn't stink and you're a custom car maker and you know everything about anything-- but seriously---- stop being so rude and ignorant about it.

I like what you've done. It's different but not over the top.

From my perspective I fail to view the thread title as justified. The car still does have 2/3 of the kit still on it. I'm not a particular fan of some of the mods or even the wheels. I feel that even though a car may make X number of horsepower it isn't an excuse to just let the exterior go.
So I'm not bashing the owner at all or even his car. I am just pointing out the things I notice and how I interrupt what I see. I do believe that the owner isn't done yet with his car. But a little elbow grease to fix some fit and finish items on a car and it will look better. :thumb:

I agree with Grant. A clean, paint matched body-kit, even the fast and furious one, looks better than having 3/4's of the kit and a stock from bumper with a lip that doesn't fit right and painted wrong. I like the turbo wing on it but I still have yet to see a de-riceified car?

Im just saying that he thinks the car was rice before it had the front bumper and wing, yet now since he changed the bumper its not rice?

People get so fvcking hissy on these forums. Its the internet people, calm down.

It's easy to be calm and accuse people of being "hissy" when your the one making bvllshite comments about someone else. For instance, how I haven't spent money on my car in the "right way" and that I "went out and bought a lip instead of fixing my window tint" which is complete BS. You would probably feel differently if I was the one making rediculous comments about you. I'm open to constructive criticism and I'm completely aware that you dont like my car and I'm not really a big fan of yours either. Were all entitled to our opinions. However If your gonna make statements like the above without any basis to back them up then do all of us a favor and simply STFU. ;)
