I agree with adding something to the orange...like a light pearl or something...as for the side graphics, what you have would be fine..but get it done in paint...House of Kolor has a nice pearl metallic black that would go great with the orange. As for the rims, do something different, polished spokes with a gloss black lip, or something along those lines, and IF you wanna keep the wing, color match the main part of it to the orange, and color match the end plates and mounts to the black. :)

Now, about that front bumper...what you should AVOID would be the following: Blitz, Drift, R33/omega, Aggressor, Invader, Bomex, 2gb Eclipse(including any kind of addons with it, unless it's a widebody). These are the most common at the shows, at least from my experience. The taillights, should be black housed if you have altezzas, this can be done by takin them apart and painting, or buying some...

But this is just an opinion from someone that's been to many shows, and has an artistic eye, so you dont have to listen if you dont wanna :thumb:
 
OK.. here is my input

1) Ditch wing, get Rudora duckbill CF wing
2) Carbon Fiber VIS Invader Hood
3) Buddy Club 2 Front Bumper
4) Gloss Black Rims
5) Remove Graphics
6) Paint "Top Secret Gold"
7) Paint Roof Black like a Talon
8) Stock Red tail lights with Carbon fiber center piece
9) 97 Projector headlights

This will give you lots of originality, looks on the street and at a show... It will give it the look of a possible Talon conversion. A nice Carbon Fiber front splitter and Canards would finish the look off. You could then bring the CF theme to the inside of the car as well.

I don't care what you do to it, as long as it involves losing the blue rims and airplane wing. You say you need to be different, but you have that damn wing! That's not any different from any other ricer. And it makes no sense. Real car guys laugh at that wing, diamond plated and all.

And real car guys are who you need to impress, not 15 year old F&F-crazed wanna-b's! :thumb:
 
lose the graffics, altezzas, and that spoiler, and what were u thinkin, those rims are aweful :cry: your dsm needs to go to rehab
 
First of all I give you credit for trying to be original. Don't listen to all the people that say keep it stock. Having a show car is about being original. First and most important, if you change the color of your car to blue or something, you have to paint the engine bay and all the jams. The orange would contrast way to much. Second I agree that the wing just doesn't look right, maybe paint it to match the car or get a new one. I don't mind the graphics and wheels, (hey I've got blue wheels myself). DSMs just need bigger wheels to fill the gigantic wheel wells. Maybe some nice gunmetal wheels would help contrast the color. Any way, good luck with the project!
 
the black headlights and taillights will be in next week am leaving stock center piece in
i picked out a nice tangerine color to paint the car so it's is brighter(with gold pearl)
the rims are being powder coated black while it's being painted
untill i have money for better rims
the wing will also become black
also i am designing some new graphix for it

I'll say it again..don't be trendy like every other car around here and do black with a polished lip...it has become WAY to trendy and it won't get you orignality points at all. I say swap them out with some aftermarket rims.
 
loose the wing, and the front bumper. If ya wanna keep the graphics change the color to something that matches the orange (maybe black or silver). Also get some different wheels or at the least paint the wheels black. And clean the yellow headlight with some mother's mag polish

I agree

its to F&F and its a nonturbo, i use to be just like you when i had my RS. i got a blitz kit for it neons and shit. Did the interior over and a carbon fiber hood, but than reality sets in and the RS/GS is just to slow. I came to my senses in buying a turbo and keeping it bone stock look, cause its sexy that way :thumb:
