On my 90' the fill hole is by itself without the extra hole next to it. In any case the drain hole is right at the front/passingerside/bottom corner of the tranny. You have a 5 speed right?

I finally got the damn bolt off. I drove to advance auto parts and picked up a 15/16 wrench and was able to use the round end to torque it off.

I almost rounded the bolt off so im pretty lucky. Still im baffled as to why the drain bolt was like 2 feet away from the fill bolt towards the middle of the car.

Anyway im rigging up a funnel with some tubing to fill her up with bg synchroshift II and then I'm going to tackle the clutch bleeding!!!

are you sure you didn't drain the engine oil?

The transmission isn't even two feet across..

The drain bolt is (when looking at it from the front of the car) as far to the LEFT side (passanger side) of the casing as is possible, and RIGHT on the bottom/front edge.

Been looking for a picture or a more descriptive explanation where the fill plug is on my Manual Tranny. I did find a picture of a 1G Manual Tranny fill plug but I am not sure if it is in the same place on a 2G. Thank you for the help.

On Manual trannys the fill plug should be on the side of the transmission about halfway up. Mine is located to the front of the tranny. I'd have to check on the size of the bolt Friday when I get it up on the hoist. My tranny number is F5M31. Its helpful always to figure out what # your tranny is... makes a google search easier. I think on your model you should have a F5MC1 but who's to say your transmission hasn't been switched out from a previous owner.

I found a small bolt on the bottomish of the tranny and took it out, put some fluids in there since it is in the front of the tranny and put the bolt back in. Took the car for a 3 mile test drive brought it back and it is smoking like crazy and smells like something is burning. All I changed was the drive axles, thermostat sensor, and the Clutch Slave Cylinder. I wanted to change the belt but couldn't get it off so figured I would leave the old one be for now. I am gonna recheck my fluid levels once the car cools and make sure I out the tranny fluid in the right place. Will get a pic of what I think is the Tranny fill plug. Thank you again.

The bolt in this pic is what I thought was my fluid input.

I hope I didn't put fluid in the wrong place =/ it is on the lower middle side of the Transmission. The bolt did nothing but open up into the Transmission. If this is the wrong or right one if someone could let me know. Thank you for the help.

Another thing that is odd, before I replaced the drive axles, my clutch was engaging about half way out. Now it is engaging about an inch from the floor. Debating to drop my entire Transmission and clean it (it is dirty as you can see in the picture) get new seals and put it all back in.

yeah thats not it... Its kinda hard to tell you where its at without a pic, its a little higger than that, its not a bolt its a rubber plug unless the 420A trannys were all different wich I highly doubt

behind that plug. It's about the same height up but on the otherside. I believe it faces the driver's side. Correct me if I'm worng its been awhile since I've done transmission work.

Dang, guess I am gonna have to tear down my transmission to get that fluid put that I out into that hole, just went by what people and guides where saying and looked for a hole mid way up in the front of the transmission facing the front of the car, didn't think to look behind the transmission facing the driver side of the cab where it is like impossible to see :ohdamn:

There is a rubber plug on the rear/ drivers side. I believe it is easier to get to if you jack the car up. Once you find it get a funnel and a hose to stick on the end of the funnel. Makes it go pretty smoothly. Make sure you only put the oil specific to the nvt350 transmission. The transmission takes 2.1 quarts. Hope this helps.

Took it to a friend today he said I should just be able to take the drain plug out and drain the transmission to get the fluid I put in out, He also showed me where the drain plug is (TY for the tip Mike :) ) It is behind the driver side drive axle. Kind of tight to get in there but I have a funnel with a flex hose and my wife can help so shouldn't be to hard. Thank you for all the replies.
