Hello everyone i am posting here as this is the only forum i have access to. I've searching around for the aluminum fidanza flywheel for a 7 bolt fwd but apparently all the vendors ive checked are on backorder. My question would be does anybody know where i could find one in stock? Thanks!

i should have a 7 bolt fwd laying around its used of course but dont know the brand its either fidanza or zoom, i do have a ACT 7 bolt fwd for sure tho but you need to use a puck disc with that one

DSMphx - It is true that they're on backorder. They ran out of ring gears and their manufacturer for them is having trouble supplying them. They're current ETA is 4 weeks.

But for some good news; My local speedshop here in town has 2 of them in stock. PM me if you want their phone number.

They're sorta not on backorder. Fidanza is no more. They shutdown. So no more new flywheels. Can anyone else confirm?
Not true at all. I just got off the phone with them and they're very much still up and running. They just recently redesigned their short shifter and clutch product lines as well. They've always been a company that was plagued with many long backorders, but don't let that lead you to believe that they're going out of business.

I would love the number so whenever you get a chance send me a pm with it. Thanks hope to get the Dsm back on the road soon.

This is like the 3rd or 4th time fidanza has "gone out of business" in the past 6 years or so. There not out of business, stuff is just on back order. It happens.

But if you don't want to wait on a fidanza, XTD and ACT both have reliable chromoly flywheels.

I hope your not using the Fidanza flywheel on a DD.... I had one on my 3kgt and was crazy too light, had to do some fancy foot work to keep the wheels gripping. NA 3kgt + Fidanza flywheel = burn out machine. LOL.

This is assuming the Eclipse weight difference ratio is same/close to the 3kgt.

Really? Any gs-t owner experience the same? I mean im just curious to know if it would be a good idea or not.

O
I have driven both 1g and 2g FWD DSMs with Fidanza flywheels and both were very managable on the street. You just have to adjust your driving style a bit. Also, dont forget to pick up one of these install kits from FP.

I dont mean to sound disrespectful but is this really necessary? Ive researched it here in dsmtuners and cant seem to make up my mind some people say it is some people think its a waste of money i just dont wana make a wrong decision you know?

Called them today and they do have it but refused to price match it to extremepsi.com so now im considering buying the act flywheel. Any thoughts on their flywheel?
