Just installed a fiav blockoff plate and after installing there is a boost leak coming from the two existing cooling line hookups....is this normal? Car will not idle stable just installed new isc as well. I either get readings of 0 or 120 at idle with the isc. Car also likes to die when disengaging clutch from a high rpm!

YOu went with the partial blockoff, why not full block off plate?

He says he installed the block off plate. Otherwise he would have said the bypass plate!!!

To the OP try sticking some rtv around the edges and loop the lines to stop this. I only have the bypass myself but did you close the valve up aswell, behind the freeze plug?

The plate I used is not a full isc blockoff it has two slots cut out of it....Now would looping those lines together cause the isc readings to be off?

To add on to this, I am in the same boat as OP. My car has always surged since the day I bought it.
I just deleted charcoal canister and plugged up all the vacuum lines that are needed to.
I have a 16g turbo and I just put on a VRSF FMIC.
Today I did smoke test for boost, all vacuum lines, and exhaust. Nothing was leaking.
My car right now surges really bad especially on cold.
When I engage the clutch, the RPM's drop so low the car stalls.
I checked ISC and they all showed 28omps for resistance.
I just screwed FIAV internal screw all the way down, hoping that might help.
Can anyone please help what else it might be?
