I have a 1990 gsx. My throttle body has block off plate and fiav mod done. Now am i suppose to have the iac blocked off to?? If so could i just leave it in and just unhook it, or do i have to get a block off plate for that to?

Leave it in. The only thing able to control your idle would be your BISS and that's static. If you truly wanted to you could remove the ICS but your idle will suffer a lot more.

Also to do that you would need an actual block off plate to bolt to the bottom of the T and being on a 90 TB you have a solid design which would need welded shut from the rear of the TB at the access plate.

You used the write up I made right?

Ya i did use the write up. Just iv come across a few people that were asking the same question, and some people said to un-hook the iac. Just wanted to make sure i did't have to do any other things is all. My car idles good. Just wanted to clarify that.

If you are actually wanting to remove the ICS all together you want to install a solid plate on the underside of the TB for NON 90 TBs. Un hooking the ICS (I'm pretty positive) will not keep it at a 0 position and will allow air to bypass causing your idle to fluctuate.

For just ridding yourself of the FIAV, all you need to do is follow the guide I wrote based off of RRE's method, nothing else is required which is stated in there too.

Read that and stuff, but I was wondering if u could get rid of the FIAV with STM's fiav bypass or if j still need it there for the iac
