I have a set of the level I's in my FFWD stroker longblock. Level II's weren't available yet, or I would have gone with them. For the price you can't really go wrong, even though they are regrinds

The lift on them compared to comp 2s is almost the same. I see they are regrinds but for 350 I am lookin to experiment with the level 2s. Any one got any thoughts on these?

I just installed my Level II cams tonight. When I get the valve cover back on her I might fire it up before going to bed.

yeah Brian, how did things come out with the cams? I am in process of rebuilding my bottom end and thought about putting in some cams before bolting everything back togather and I have been thinking of going with the FFWD myself.

Yea Im looking into getting a set now. I hear since they are regrinds they wear away faster cause they dont have the hardening but Im not sure if anyone knows about that post it up. Let us know how those cams are brian. Did you upgrade springs or anything else with the install?

The cam install went well. I just followed the instructions from vfaq. because of the higher duration the car has a mean lumpy idle. I haven't had time to retune the car since I installed them. I did take a pull after installing the cams. My IDC went from 98% to 112% on the 550s so I lowered the boost to 18 psi from 22 psi to get them in the 102%. I am going to raise the fuel pressure to I can continue to run the boost I was running originally. The car definitely pulls a hell of a lot harder on the top in. Once I get it dialed in I will post an update.

NOTE:

When I brought the cams it came with shims for the lifters. I did not use them in the beginning. While driving I notice I was getting a lot of knock off boost and it was a result of loose rockers. I shimmed the lifter and the knock went away.

Glad things went well with the install. Do you have any work done to the head or you running stock?

Also if you can, is there anyway you can get a audio/video of the car at idle after getting it tuned?
