Few questions for the build process

As I have made a few posts, just continuing on my build but have some questions:

main question: transmission. I have the 420A 5 speed manual and looking for a new trans. Sheptrans doesn't make them for the 420A. I was told to look for a 01-05 neon tranny but I'd like some more information about that.

valve guides: how do I remove the valve guides from the cylinder head of the 420A. I have read to possibly heat the head to about 150 F since it's aluminum, or they may have to be pressed out.

Axles: Once the turbo is in (long way down the road) my goal is 350WHP, not sure about torque but i'm sure the stock axles won't do the job; what are a good brand to use when it comes to the turbo?

flywheel: since I am FWD, I was told that a lightweight flywheel isn't necessary since i'm not AWD. Is this true?

cams: what's the best price site for the crower stage 2 cams (241/241; unless you suggest otherwise for a turbo build with 8.8:1 CR)

Hope to get some advice soon, thanks!

Not sure on the trannies, I do my own tranny work, but its not something I would recommend without a full detailed knowledge of how your transmission operates, and experience. I've seen a lot of people try to do their own and get it back into the car to find out not all the gears engage, or its grinding gears etc.

Changing valve guides is quite a job and requires more than just hand tools. Plus once changed you won't necessarily have the same concentricity with the valve seat so you will have to have the valves and seats cut too.

Unless you plan on drag racing with full slicks, you probably won't hurt the axles, given they are in good shape to start with. A set of poly motor mounts will prolong axle life too.

Theres no reason why you can't run a lightweight flywheel on your FWD, it frees up horsepower, and allows the engine to rev quicker thus making it more responsive

Stage 2 Crowers should work fine for your goals.

You can pick up new axles with a lifetime warranty at your local Napa, AutoZone, or O'Reillys. And if what comes off your car is the exact same as what's in the box you can just make use of that warranty after a couple months to have an extra set on hand.

Valve guides are rather easy to change with an air hammer and the right driver. You will have to have the seats cut afterwards and set the valve stem height, so i would recommend just having a machine shop install the guides also.
