there is this one dude at work who keeps telling me that the newer Acura NSX can beat the Evo8 in the quarter mile...... i keep telling him that i believe the Evo is faster by about .2 seconds or so, but he wont belive me........ im not sure if im 100% right, but to my knowledge the evo runs very low 13's and the NSX runs higher to mid 13's am i right????? if any of you guys find specs please show me cause i got $20 on the line........ he also says that his stupid 88 accord can beat my tsi, but i know his is just kidding.........

Any car can beat any other car.

I've seen a 2001 WS6 run a 14.5 quarter mile (@105 :laugh: ), but it still would've lost to cars it shouldn't have at that speed.

It should only matter if you both have those cars, and if so, hit Kenosha and find out if it's true. Low 13's vs. mid-high 13's can EASILY be won by either car with a bad driver in one.

I'm too lazy to search for some proof but I am sure that the American Evolution 8 is actually slower than the Acura NSX 2004. Only the one in japan, the Evo 6 did the 1/4 ni 12.9. I hope you aren't refering to that one since it's only in japan and is the quickest of the evo's that ever was sold on the market. The NSX is actually faster than our evo 8 in the 1/4. NSX's are close to low 13's and our evo runs mid-high 13's. The Suburu STI runs low 13's if that is what you were thinking.

If you are talking about the Evolution MR, then no one really knows what the Evo MR runs(not to my knowledge) but I am sure that is a very close race. NSX is a very small car and powered by a quad cam Vtec V6 with 290HP. The Evo 8 we have is the I4 with 287HP Turbocharged and Intercooled with All Wheel Drive. I think from the looks of it, the NSX has it in stock form beat, unless your refering to the Evo MR. Very close race and really depends on the driver.

according car-stats.com the 2002 NSX runs a 13.4 quarter mile and the Evo 8 runs a 13.6

it really depends on driving skills though. I raced a porche boxter in my dad's 2001 celica GTS (180 hp). We went from 60 to about 110 and I had him by a little more than a car when we shut down. needless to say the dude was retarded at driving
