Feels like its stuck in gear?

Hey guys here is the problem. I just bought a 96 gsx that doesnt run. When i picked it up i put the car in neutal and push on to trailer. I set parking brake and put in park towed home. when i went to unload the car i put in neutral and it feels like its stuck in park . the parking brake is off and im lost please help

I don't know if its an auto or a 5-speed so I will post different possibilities for both.

AUTO:
Parking break cables are frozen (common problem with old cars)
Gear selector cable end not in correct position on trans lever (possibly a loose bolt)
Rear diff is for a 5-speed and not auto (different ratios not sure if it will cause it to lock thow)

5-SPEED:
Parking break cables are frozen (common problem with old cars)
Shift linkage fell off the trans or shifter base
Clutch locked and or engine seized (try pushing the clutch pedal in and try to move it)
Rear diff is for an auto and not a 5-speed (different ratios not sure it if will cause it to lock thow)
Bent or broken shift fork (not common but it can happen even if your not driving it)
Sheared roll pin in trans on a shift fork (can cause the fork to keep a gear locked in)

It's really early and I'm running off no sleep so when I think of more I will post it if none of these seem to be the issue. Try rocking the car back and forth while pulling it out of gear or out of park.
