hey guys...my car been overheating lately...when it in normal operating temp...the top radiator hose is hot but the bottom is kool...is it ### of the Thermostat...or sumthing else...### help me out...

Mine was doing the same thing a couple weeks ago. I didnt check my radiator hoses but i pulled out my old thermastat and saw that fully open it didnt allow much water to flow through it and there was a little peice just hanging not to sure what it was though. Before i put the new one in i couldnt even get on the freeway or go wot without my needle starting to creep up. You may just want to go pick up a new t-stat their cheap and easy to put in.

yea im pretty sure it was the t-stat...i boil some water and throw tat sob n it and it wont open...rite now im little low on cash so ima run with no t-stat 4 jux a bit...wit no t-stat no more overheat:thumb:anyway it hella hot n fresno, cali..everyday averge 100+degree:hellyeah:

What?

If you are so low on cash that you can't afford an $8 part, you probably shouldn't own a DSM. That aside, buy a t-stat, it's there for a reason and you don't know if that was your problem to begin with so you are just creating more variables.
