my girlfriends ford tempo sometimes leaves the the fan forever. it drained her battery a couple weeks ago. and a few days ago it did it again. so i just disconnected the positive battery for like 30 minutes. connected it again and same problem.......after messing with a few fuses it turned off, but what could it be?

It looks to me that maybe it is somehow getting a short to ground. Make sure there is no loose wiring that might be making a short to ground on the fan. Does this happen all the time, rain, dry weather?

first time it happened it killed her battery. then like a week ago it happened again. so i just took off random fuses and it turned off. put everything back and it worked fine. but i just want to make sure it doesnt happen again.
