is any one running or knows of somone who is running the falken zeix ze-512. i have been looking at budget tires. as of now these are what i ahve heard good things about... thanks for the input... :talon:

I don't like apples. I got one with a worm in it. It had bruise too. I'll never eat another.

One of my buddies ran these falkens after yokohama avs-es100's, and let me tell you, he was way disappointed after he had the falkens mounted. He was so dissapointed in the ride quality and cornering, he went bad to the yoko's, and they were almost bald. As always, you get what you pay for

I have had the 512s on 3 of my cars and I absolutely loved them. For the price, you cant go wrong. The are a great all around street tire. A friend of mine is running them on an AWD mirage *205-45-16* and on his only pass ran 10.42@133 with 37 psi. They are great tires and he is also using them on all his cars.

Falken makes several tire models. Ask about any particular tire brand and you will find some really like it and a few that hate it. The haters are often more vocal.

I bought Falken ST 115's as an over-reaction coming from Kumho 712's which had the traction of a brick, howled like a banshee at highway speeds, and were bald at about 15,000 miles.

The ST-115's offered decent traction and treadlife and were formulated for a quieter ride. I am completely satisfied that they lived up to their claims and will likely buy again although it has been my habit to jump from brand to brand hoping one day to find that magic tire that grips better than an R-type and lasts for 100,000 miles.

I ran FK451 GR-Betas for two years and I loved those tires. Completely stable at 90 MPH during a Florida downpour. They were quiet for the most part as well. My only complaints were the sidewalls were soft as butter and the treadwear was poor, but that's to be expected out of a performance tire (not the soft sidewalls, obviously).

I've since switched to Hankook's Ventus R-S2 and I have not been disappointed at all.

Thanks for the review on the fk451s. For the price and the size I need, these seem like a pretty damn good deal.
