So i have a set of yokohama avis 205/55/16's on right now and two of the tires are worn down pretty bad because i didn't have an alignment done till just now. Two of the tires have about 10k left and the other two have about 3-5k left. Right now a tire place around here has falken 512 series tires on sale for 250 mounted and balanced for all four. Should i buy these now while on sale and just wait to put them on till the current ones are gone? OR should i buy 2 more yokohama Avis' and put them on as soon as the two bad ones wear out? The 2 yokohamas would be about 170 mounted and balanced. Are the falkens as good of tire as these yokohamas, and would taht be a good deal to go for? or should i stick with the yokohamas? thanks

I'd buy the Falkens at that price, as long as you don't expect huge perfromance out of them. They make good daily driving tires for the sports minded driver.

well i like the way my yokohama's handle right now. I don't really drive too hard but i like to be able to grip the corners pretty good. But i'm thinking for that price i could probably sacrifice a little

Are the 512's a good sticky tire? That's the only tire Falken makes in a 225 50 16 size.

FALKENs!

They sponsor Pikes Peak. If I win class I'll thank you for your nickel!

Hell, I bought a set for my truck for this very reason. Support your supporters!

Falken Azenis Sport if you want a good performance tire that is sticky. My buddy can get the 225/45/17's at $90/tire. They retail for $149/tire.
