factory alarm dosent work

ok so my problem is that i have to be really close to the car in order to open it. i just got a new battery for the remote but still i have to be right next to the car and try like 2 time just to open it up and thats if im lucky. anyway to fix this?

Check to see if the external antenna came out of the alarm unit. The plugs arnt very strong, they fall out easy..

Mine is the same way. New battery didn't make a difference, maybe they all suck in that respect. Here's something you can try. I don't know if it really works but it would be easy enough to try it out. Let me know the results if you do try it.

The receiver is in the driver's side rear passenger panel so you need to be close to it. 3 - 6 feet max is not uncommon.

ok thanks guys the thing with the soder and cable worked a little bit almost like having an antenna. i looked at the module thing and u plugged everything in tighter and it seems to work fine now
