Factory alarm and Door Locks Don't Work

I have searched and can't find anyone with a stock alam that is having this problem.

The problem is that when I hit the lock I can hear a click but the locks do not lock or unlock. Also if I lock both doors manually the security light doesn't come on, on the dash.

What should I check?

I got the same problem.. Just hear a click from the releys when i push the button.
Its 2 releys, one behind the cd player, and one behind the backseats..

Maybe it is the releys?

I can hear the relays clicking where are they actually located and how would I test them? Also I have tried the power windows and they work fine

Hi again.. I have tryed to replace both the releys today. Its not the releys who is the problem..

Someone who know what the problem is?

I was having this problem the other day and then magically they started to work again.

Same problem. I even took my entire dash apart and traced the power lock wires to everything. Everything works... but it doesnt. If I unplug and plug in the relay behind the cd player my locks will lock and unlock. Its like its always get a signal to unlock. I cant figure it out for the life of me and I know a decent amount about electrical flow.

Mine doesn't work either. Well, it does, but randomly. Sometimes on a drive, the doors will randomly lock, and I usually leave my car unlocked when I park because the alarm will randomly go off. If I do lock it, and I go to unlock it from the outside with the key, sometimes the alarm will go off when I open it, sometimes it won't. I should see if I can get a remote from a dealer.

So I don't have a solution. But just thought I'd build the ranks of people who have this problem.

maybe it is the actuator ? i can hear the actuator is moving when i push the lock button, but just a litle bit, it wont lock. It seems like it got too low electric power or someting.

I've got the exact same problem...can hear it click won't lock or unlock....even when I use the locks from the inside it won't...also went I'm driving it has the same issue will lock up....I've just learned that eventually it will start working on it's own.

Take your door panels off and look at the electrical connector on the back side of the "key cylinder"? When my car had the random lock problem it was one of those connectors,either from the driver or passenger side had came off. Hope this helps some of you out

Problem solve !!! =D
Its was the connector to the auctor on the passenger side. Its was a bad electric connection on the plug. Just press the connector to the auctor.
Everyting works now =)

My alarm works from the fob but lock and unlock doesn't. Anyone have any advice? Power locks work when pressing on the door though just not from the fob. 2g eclipse.
