I am replacing the tranny in a 93 eclipse gs 2.0 n/t. The previous 2 trannies have had the part number F5M221VPKV but the one I just got is F5M222VPZV. The mounting and locations of everything seems to be the same but the casting around the transaxle is different. Does anyone know the significance of the last half of the part number? Are all F5M22's compatible?

Thanks

The first one, F5M221VPKV, was used with a 4G37. The latter one, F5M222VPZV, was used with a 4G63. They should be compatible.
