external Wastegate Question

Has anybody had any experiance with this wategate kit Talon/Eclipse Tial MVS 38mm wastegate / atmosphere dumped o2 housing packageI have a ton of boost creep and it looks like it would be good for me. Dont you just have to remove the flapper from the internal wategate?

Have you tried porting. I have a 34mm flapper just sitting around that I'd sell you if you haven't tried that already. But yes you remove the flapper and the actuator. When I went external I ported the $hit out of that hole.

It should definately work for you. V-band makes it extremely easy to work on and you should just enlarge/match the WG discharge hole on your O2. It is extremely nice product.

Sounds good. What did you port your hole with. Whats the best and easiest way to do that.

Don't have any pictures, but you just try to enlarge the flapper hole to match the inlet flange of WG . Also you could just smooth/not enlarge/, the edges of the hole on the inside of housing the one thet diverts air to where the flapper used to be, where the exhaust is coming off manifold and into the turbine housing. Call TIAL for better assistance, the tech guys are great and will give you further assist. Tell them, of course, that you just bought new TIAL WG...

I had mad boost creep a few years ago with my 20G,then i installed an Apexi AVCR,that eliminated my creep.Just an idea if you're lazy.
