Ok well im getting my car next thursday 95' Eclipse GSX AWD Turbo and im starting to make a list of mods im going to do to the car. Of course this will come after all procedures to make sure everything in the car is in working order.

But after reading alot of the post about exhaust, BOVs, boost creep, spikes. Im starting to think I should do everything right the first time around no matter the cost well... not going to really really extend no matter the cost but still get things that will make my life easier in the future.

So I heard 1 bad thing is boost creeps in car and that is the 02 sensor not allowing enough exhaust to go through it so you would need to port that or mess with the wastegate or just get a new 02 sensor and a external wastegate.

So to do this right the first time around im starting to lean towards just getting a external wastegate right off the bat and not run on the internal wastegate at all just upgrade rightway to avoid any risk. Even though there might not even be a need for this and that it will work fine no creeps without it but might aswell be safe then sorry.

What im thinking is getting Apexi N1 catback exhaust, Apexi N1 downpipe, and yet to find a place to get a cat converter.....

So what I need to know is what do I all need to put a new 02 houseing in?

And what is needed to place a external wastegate on.

Any suggestions to why I shouldn't do this please tell me.

And if im confuseing anything aswell please clear it up for me.

Thank You

If you want to get a new O2 housing with your exhaust then I would first get some patience. Next i would get a new metal O2 housing gasket from SlowBoy Racing(Or someone else) . When you get a a O2 housing just buy one that is set up for a external wastegate, like a Tial 38mm. If you still have a turbo that has its own wastegate then you should remove the wastegate from it. It is a good idea that you thought of this before you got your exhaust. I didn't and now my Tial gate pushes up against my radiator a little because I added after the fact. No Fun.

Well as I didn't get ANYTHING yet I don't even have the car thats why im learning all this stuff before I start shopping I learned my lesson from my 99 GS :X. So Thank you for the post will I half to get the manifold ported for a external wastegate aswell?

You don't have to port it. If you plan on taking it off then it would improve performance to port it though.

Sorry I posted that last post at 6:30am and I was alittle tired at the time. But what I meant to say is if I got a new manifold it has a option to have an external wastegate hole pre drilled and everything. But If im going to get the external wastegate on the new 02 houseing then I don't half to worry about the pre drilled hole for a external wastegate on the manifold?

Also what would happen if you got a external wastegate on the 02 houseing but then kept the internal wastegate on the stock T25 turbo?

Ya, you just have to have a wastegate in one place, either before or after the turbo. If you were to get the external gate and keep the internal one on the T-25 their wouldn't be any problem really, there would just be more vacuum lines to run. I would probable just take it for simplicities sake. Also you should make sure and get the right spring rate for what boost you want to run. As a general rule you can double the springs rate with a MBC. So, if you go for a 1Bar spring in your tial then you should have a controllable boost range of from about 14.7Psi to 29Psi.
