i'm about to install a ACT PN: MB1-HDG6 do i need a extended rod?

You do not need an extended slave cylinder rod. If you have a properly functioning hydraulic system and the clutch fork/pivot ball are not worn out it'll work. Make sure the hydraulic system is completely free of air.

I would also suggest not getting a longer rod; it is pretty much a band-aid solution to a clutch system that is out of alignment. If you are worried about having disengagement issues due to having a heavier spec clutch I would suggest watching a couple videos made by Jacks Transmissions on proper clutch adjustment and pivot ball shimming. https://www.jackstransmissions.com/pages/tech-articles
