Alright I'm having trouble deciding between a Thermal catback exhaust and Apexi GT catback... The thermal I've been told has a much deeper sound and doesn't sound ricey and is fairly quiet. Now the Apexi GT is a much bigger pipe its I think 3.7 inchs, this should make my turbo spool faster than the thermal correct since there is less back pressure. Teh other big deciding factor is that I can get the Apexi for $500. So what you guys think. Performance is a huge issue with me but sound also matters so what you guys think?

Are u talking about the downpipe or the catback or the full turbo-back. Anyway They both sound deep and not ricey. Apexi pipes are not 3.7 inches the only thing that may be that big on the apexi is the tip on the muffler, which will not make the turbo spool any faster than the thermal. I would go with the thermal if i where you, it is a full 3", the Apexi goes to a little under 3"'s in some places.

I have heard great things about the Thermal but as far as the GT goes... it's not 3.7 inches. I have heard something like it is pretty much the N1 with some different materials. I'm going N1 when I get the money... I love the way it sounds, nice and deep when idling and tooling around town, Loud as hell at wot, plus you can get them for 490+shipping @ nopionline.com or rre. The GT sells for around 700 where I have found it.

only on the dp

i had an n1 3" turbo back...the first part of the downpipe as 2.8 or so

Alright sorry guys I just noticed on Apexi's website it says that the GT comes in at 3.7 inches on selected cars which are supras, rx-7's and mr2's oh well. So what do you guys think? I'm able to buy the GT for $500 used from someone or I can buy the thermal for a lil more. So far I'm leaning towards thermal.

Im gettin the GT....in fact im ordering it like tomarow :) ...For 500 man Its really up to you but thats a dam good deal. If you dont get it swing that deal my way ;) Seriosly pm me if you dont get it and he needs to get rid of it. Im really into the gt because its stainless and these snowy jersey winters just seem to eat anything but. Or else I would get the N1. Hope that helped.

I was gonna get an N1 too but the piping is shit and we get snow liek crazy here in Cleveland but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with the thermal I've been told it has the deepest sound plus it doesnt have a huge can but who knows maybe I'll change my mind.

I have the thermal on my car and i have to say i really like it a lot. I haven't been able to go WOT yet because of my slipping clutch. I would highly recommend the Thermal to anyone looking for a good all SS exhaust.

i would get the muffler (just the muffler!) and get your own custom tubing, u can probably get it all for 300$ saving money and gettin better results than any other setups, the N1 also comes with the built in resegnator im not to sure about the thermal but if u want nice noise and good performance, get a N1 muffler from ebay, take your car to a good local muffler shop and have them bend the pipes and weld the muffler on and the flange to connect to the CAT (they should do mandrel bends and u should be able to get a full 3" setup and more power than a N1 cat-back factory setup) i want to get this done come Tax-return, its a much better setup and alot cheeper.

Not to hijack but I finally ordered the gt for 740$ I got price matched on morepowerracing :D . Just my 2 pennies. Again goodluck with watever you choose.

bigdaddy..... you just lost ALOT of money dude. Return it and go custom im telling you! its much better n hella cheeper.
