Exhaust temp Gage instal

Hey guys I'm installing ext temp Gage and I need help with wiring. Gage is in steering cover pod, I grounded black wire, plugged red in fuse box bellow, there also orange wire that goes to vehicle elimination to dim at night, which color code is it?

update, its a glow shift gauge, actually it doesn't look to bad, I'm thinking of swapping my boost and oil pressure pro comp gauges for shift glow. I got exhaust temp gauge hooked up running, the only thing is that it is a tinted gauge so it stays lit during the day so you can see it, and it has a orange wire that should hook up to lights or any dimmer wire so at night when you turn on lights gauge would dim as well and not blind the driver. I tried some orange wire I found under the dash, didn't work, then I hooked it up to black with yellow stripe, no result... what the hell can I hook it up to so it would dim? It has 5 wires total, two go to the probe sensor, black I got hooked up to the ground, red I stuffed with the 10amp fuse in empty slot in under dash fuse box, so as soon as I turn the key in first position the gauge turns on, then one more turn and everything else turns on and then crank..... maybe I manage to #### up something even that simple???

wire it to the headlights, when you turn the headlights on, it dims, that's the purpose of the dimmer.

Wiring to the headlights is the way to go.
