exhaust system help

From the very beginning, the exhaust would go straight down from the manifold on a nt car, where as on T car, it would go out the exhaust side of the turbo, through the 02 housing, through the downpipe.

They're completely different. If I'm not mistaken they even exit on opposite sides of the rear bumper...

You are mistaken, that is incorrect.

On a 1g the only difference between the 4G63 N/T and the turbo FWD models is pre catalytic converter (manifold and downpipe). From the catalytic converter back they are the same as long as the turbo car is front wheel drive. The AWD exhaust does have a different route, however all 1G exhausts exit on the passenger side of the rear bumper.

Correct!!!

But you know what always grinded my gears..They gave the 2g 2.5 inch piping and the 1g 2.25..:(

Incorrect!!!

1g's and 2g's both came from the factory with 2.25 (2 1/4) inch diameter crush bent exhaust piping. This is very off topic but view these threads if you need more info:
