Exhaust resonator

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate links, including eBay, Amazon, and others.

There are two main types of resonators. Perforated core and louvered core. Perforated cores do not affect exhaust flow at all while louvered core resonators will flow about 5% less but are also quieter. Your choice should depend on your sound goals. You can also get them in varying lengths, obviously the longer they are the quieter they will be able to make your exhaust. RRE has a good selection in lengths from 12" - 24" and 2.5" - 3" diameters in both designs.

Here is a comparison picture from their site. A perforated core is on the left and louvered core is on the right.
