Exhaust problem maybe?

I have a 2g fully stock turbo atuomatic FWD. When i really get on the car and floor it and the throttle body is wide open a big cloud of smoke comes out the exhaust. LIke if im at a stop light and i just floor it a huge cloud os liek whitish smoke comes out the exhaust. Ive been told i might be burning oil. Is this a huge problem i should look into or do i not need to worry bout it?

well like always, run a compression check , see what that is. And yu could be burning oil very likely. Could be from a lotta diff places though.

where would i be able to run a compression test at? ive never done one before

You can go to any local service shop or dealership and they can do it for you. Also, it would be a good idea to pick up a manual for your car.It tells you in there how to do compression tests on your vehicle.It would be a good idea to read through the manual anyway since this will help you diagnose problems when they arise.

I agree that a compression test is in order. Also make sure of the color of the smoke:

White = antifreeze (headgasket issue)
Black = fuel (burning too rich)
Blue = oil (turbo shaft seals, ring seal issues etc, etc)

The compression test should tell you what's up for sure.
