well said. and my point was, hypothetically, he turns off his car, tries to restart it, it doesnt start, he loses control of the car and hits someone or something. Thats pretty smart and personally not worth it for something you cant even see from the drivers seat(ie shooting flames). drive your car like a grown-up. And, if you wanna f around, do it off public streets

This guy is an effin' jackass.

You're starving the turbo of oil, extremely necessary oil that the turbo depends on to function properly and to prolong its lifespan. You're just killing it, at a very fast pace. Not to mention all of the other unnecessary shit you're doing to the engine besides. I would almost rather see you vent the CBV so you run pig rich instead of doing this. Give that car to someone who will actually care for it.

Not to mention having your car at WOT in the upper RPM's could cause your hands to be not so steady, and what if you turn the key to lockback position and get it stuck, then the wheel locks and you're F****D. This is obviously not a great idea and probably not worth it from the responses you've gotten. If you've gone as far to ask others opinions you should atleast take the advice you get and stop.

I'm not trying to justify what the guy is doing, but the oil pump is mechanically driven and in no way will it be starving the turbo of oil if the engine is still turning(key off or on). It may however cause enough stress from the explosion to cause damage to the turbine blades as well as the turbo bearings.

I've seen people do this before but with n/a cars, splitting their stock mufflers in two from the explosion. Me and my friend do this with his beater golf cart all the time by holding the throttle open manually without touching the gas pedal, then flooring it again. Then again, it's a golf cart...
