i am looking to buy a DN performance tubular exhaust manifold and am wondering If i can get it setup for an internal wastegate for my Big 16G , then later when i get a bigger tubro with an external wastegate, just do sutting to the manifold to make it work????

pretty much can an exhasut manifold be setup for an internal wastegate, and then the same manifold, with little work and external manifold???thanx for any insight or help!!! :D

Just get a manifold that already has the setup for an external wastegate and block it off until you get your other turbo.

how easy is it to put a block off plate in? Im very new to turbo's and wastegates so any help is very appreciated thanx:thumb:

Its quite easy... I believe a few companies even make block off plates for a few different wastegate flanges. Either that or go to a welding shop around you and have them make something to block it off.

38-40mm flange would be very simple with a bolt on block off flange. A 44mm would be a little more challenging, you could order a flange and have someone weld the bottom of the flange closed, then just v-band the flanges together if you want a 44mm wastegate.
