All right here is the deal I have a really loud exhaust leak, First I thought it was my DP was just loose and was not on the turbo. But when I got it up in the air and check my whole exhaust system and everything is tight. So I start looking else where and I think it maybe the exhaust manifold gasket because I can feel air coming out from the head and the manifold. Now here is some of the syptoms Louder exhaust, Backfires at higher RPMS and I can't buid over 10 Psi for boost and I have a MBC at 14.. It seems if the air is leaking out there that would explain why it doesn;t make much for boost. Also would and/or could that gasket just go all of the sudden? Thanks!

Well I forgot to say that I just put a 14b in maybe a month ago so those ones are all new..

If the gasket between the manifold and head is bad and leaking you wont build boost cause of the pressure leaking out.

take the manifold off the car, clean it well, make sure head is clean aswell, this would be a good time to check for cracks in the manifold too.

Take a strait edge and check the manifold for flatness, warped manifolds wont seal.

bolt everything back together and torque to specs

This is not entirely true, i had a exhaust manifold gasket leak, and i still built boost and held at 18 psi without dropping or spiking. You can get new gaskets at almost every vendor on here they arent too expensive.

Did you make sure to remove all of the old gasket from around the edges of the ports? This can cause an irregular seal and create premature wear of a gasket. It wont ever create a seal and will blow itself out. Good luck man.

Yea it is still building boost but not as much..I will have to wait to take it off though due to bot haveung much time! LOL
