So my manifold had a crack in it. So i replaced it. In the process most of the studs broke off. I have 4 or 5 hold it on now. Best ways to get these out easier the better and if all else fails ideas on what a machine shop might charge to get them out. It's a 91 gst 6 bolt.

If you got lucky and they broke with exposed threads then you can try to put two nuts on the remaining stud, tighten the nuts together, and use the inboard one to loosen the stud. If there isn't enough threads for that method then use vice grips or weld a nut to the exposed stud. If the broken stud is tucked in the head then you can attempt to drill into the stud and use an ez-out (keep in mind that if you break a drill bit or ez-out in the stud your day just got way worse). Or just pull the head and take it to a machine shop.

Well i don't weld but my buddy does. There are a few that are tucked in there. But these are the oem studs from 91. Never thought of welding it thanks for that. Machine shop would cost a lot probably huh?

depends on the shop, I've had shops drill and remove a broken stud for $20. I've paid $150 for a shop to use an EDM to get rid of a stud I broke a drill bit in.

Get a drill punch. Center it and punch it. Use a drill to try and extract the bolt.
I concur. If you drill, punch them first. I've had good luck with extractors. Just don't force it. Break the extractor and there is no easy was to get it out. I've done at least a dozen.

Best pic i have right now. I will get a better one. As you can see most of the studs are gone

My favorite way is using a mig a washer and a nut , just did one on a dsm head today took more time to set up the welder.
