exhaust housing clamp pressure

is there a specific ft lbs for the v band clamp that holds on the exhaust housing to the turbo? I thought I was getting an exhaust leak there because it wasn't on really tight. I was thinking this might be causing my late spool so I took it off but I am not sure how tight it should be. What ft lbs should it be at?

EDIT: So just tighten as tight as I can?

v band clamp? What do you mean? I've got my T25 off right now and also have a 99.

He is talking about the clamp that holds the hotside of the turbo to the cold side. Personally I dont think that overtightening that clamp will cause boost issues. Its designed to hold the 2 sides together and it does not have the power to cause any bending to the turbo material hotside or cold.
Id say just tighten it till it feels tight, around the same as your other exhaust bolts..

If there's a specific torque spec for it, then I don't know about it. I usually just snug it up really tight. It would have to be really loose (in an obvious way) to be leaking exhaust.

For the 14b at least, the manual states "torque to specified torque" and yet I couldn't find one for it...

Well I just hand tightened it pretty damn tight, and now the boost leak is gone.

I used to hit full boost at like 4100
Now I hit full boost by 3200

Fixed. You can only leak exhaust gas there, not boost pressure.
