Exhaust Differences

Is the downpipe/exhaust routing different between a 1G AWD Automatic and a 1G AWD 5-speed car? I just wanted to know because I am planning on keeping my car automatic for a while and later swapping in a 5-speed, but didn't want to have to purchase new 3" exhaust just due to a transmission swap.

They are the same. Don't worry about it Install your exhaust.

Well, I don't know exactly what laxdudeee's "yup" meant, but it looks like two opposing responces! If I have the exhast on my automatic, when I put in the 5spd you think it should still fit fine rowlex?

as far as i know, vendors sell exhausts by 1g AWD, and ive never seen one specify automatic or 5-speed

Install your exhaust. It will not interfere. The tranny doesnt make a difference in regard to your exhaust. Like the guy above mentioned vendors dont sell exhausts based on auto/manual.

it's the same....i have an A/T custom turbo back and swapped it right on to my 5spd gsx.
