hey,
Are the only differences between the 4g63 turbo and non-turbo engines the internals and exhaust manifold or is there a whole list, also are the trannys the same. I know the ECU's will be different. thanks

turbo blocks have oil squirters, better cams, intake manifold has an extra nipple, fwd trannys are different too.

The non-turbo pistons are higher compression and the ring lands crack if your tune is way off. We through together a shop car with spare parts laying around and used a non-turbo block and head. The head didn't like the web cams, but after we bolted on a turbo head we were running a 16G at 20 psi all day long at the track with no problems. Just make sure the tune is right on.
