So, I know this question has been asked before, but all i found as an answer was either a bosal exahust or custom. My friend has a talon esi and he wants to know whats the best exhaust for 400 or less. Custom piping is fine, but what 63mm axle back is best sounding? evo2? hks high flow? and remember that all the piping and axle back has to be less than 400. He already has a pacesetter header. thanks

Good luck. You can look at any respectable place you want and find that all the parts and materials will add up to almost $300 if you get GOOD parts. Add another $100-$150 if you dont or cant do welding on your own. You get what you pay for.....:|

Ebay is the best when price is an issue ...but like the member above said u pay for what u get but if its stainless steel the quality shouldnt be too bad from ebay...good luck..:D:D:thumb::thumb::talon:

i got a custom exhaust made for my awd that totaled about 225 bucks, and that was turbo back (well o2 housing back). i paid 75ish for the downpipe which was pre made, and a local shop bent the rest of my exhaust for about 125 bucks, and installed the dp at the same time. it was all 3 inch, stainless, and flanged in 2 spots (dp to midsection and midsection to muffler) rather than all welded. the muffler was just a 4 inch tip universal off ebay that sounds amazing and looks pretty good too and only cost me like 25 bucks. so for about 225 i got a full stainless 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust installed and its actually got less bends and smoother calmer bends than like every other exhaust ive seen for it.

I'm sorry about :beatentodeath: here, but just like everyone else has suggested, a custom home made/DIY system will be your best shot at meeting you price goal. Next in line, if you're able to find any complete systems that meet your tastes, would be eBay. Also, if you're looking for sounds clips of what sounds the best, check out the media gallery here on the site and then move on to YouTube for what ever you don't find. I've searched for numerous exhaust clips on YouTube and haven't had an issue finding a particular sound. My personal favorite is the Thermal CBE, plus, in my opinion, it's a reasonably priced system. Hope this helped a bit, however redundant it was:coy:.

megan is a decent choice, but expensive really and no better compared to the other ebay exhaust. I use the ebay 3" cat back with the megan d/p and i like it alot. the n/t ebay exhausts though, they get very raspy and drone alot. I had the 2.5" tsudo on it before I swapped my motor and it gave me a headache. people heard me coming from miles and miles away :(
