So, after finding out my 2g 98 ecu is junk and has bad transistors and realizing that the previous owner hacked the harness to get it to work, i came to the conclusion that the evo ecu is the way to go. Or so i thought.
I put the evo ecu in, made sure i swapped all the wires that were needed, checked the voltage to the ecu is correct, and get the cel, i thought i was set. However, here are the problems im having now.
First, CEL stays on. Will not go off.
2. Evoscan gives an error: can not conver &H to integer.
3. Evoscan gets to init sequence 0001 and then stops. Will not go any further.
4. Unlocker seems to not be working at all.
Im not really sure where to go next. Im so fed up with the car right now. I have thousands of dollars into the car and it seems i a million miles from finishing it. Anyone have any ideas? I posted on evom and no one responded.
