Ok so i ordered a EvoIII exhaust manifold but when i recieved it i found out it wasnt an actual evoIII, i think its either a gt pumps evoIII manifold or a dsmparts gt manifold.

install on a 91 eclipse

pulled the stock manifold off grinded down the edge where the PS bracket hits and wouldnt fit.. so i lined up the stud holes of the new manifold with my stock manifold and they are off.....

Anyone have any idea why this would be? or have any expierence with the gt pumps manifold or dsmparts gt manifold.. any help would be awsome thanks

The holes shouldn't be off. I would try to return it but not sure if they will except it because your ground the corner. If they don't except it back elongate the holes to make it work.

Well it was a private buyer and he has already said he would take it back....

i could drill the holes out more but im worried about the strength then because i would have to drill em out a good amount to where there would only be like an 1/8 of a inch left...

than ks for the help andone else have any idea?

I know the GT manifold flange is a little thicker than the stock manifold and can be a pain to get on. It should fit with some fiddling. It may be better to install the turbo on the manifold first then install it all at the same time.

Also Like to add that I would not recommend the copper gasket and just use the 2 or 4 layer gasket, as the copper is thick and limits the amount of threads for the nuts and they can back out.

put your old gasket on the new manifold and take a picture so we can see exactly what you're working with. please. :)

ok sorry its been a few days i dont have a camera but im pretty sure i can drill the holes out.

i lined up the gasket and i will have a good amount of room to just drill a few of the holes out

also red devil i actually went ahead and bought an evo four ply gasket so that should be good
