i have a customer of mine with a crank walked 4g63 engine in his 99 eclipse spyder. He has an obd1 evo3 motor that he wants to swap in. Is this swap pretty easy to do? I assume i will have to use some parts from the spyder, probably swap over the intake manifold etc so that the wiring will work out but is there anything else i might run into that will present any kind of challenge? I just want to cover all my bases before i attempt it and find that im in over my head. I dont want to have to cut and splice wiring if possible etc. who can tell me the ins and outs of this swap? pretty easy?

I did it into my 96 GST Spyder..... it is easy.

It is a 7-Bolt however you will need to swap a few things over like the thermostat housing and make a wiring harness for the CAS, + a few other things but everything is pretty straight forward and shouldn't add more then 15 min to the swap.

The EVOIII is a 7 bolt so its almost a direct swap, you may need to use the Intake manifold and some sensors off the old motor. You might also want to verify that ist actualy an EVO III motor before you start the swap, seems like a lot of peopel think they have an EVO III motor and it ends up being a GVR4 (6bolt) or RVR motor.
