2G Engine swap into GS-T Spyder

Well I took out my engine and tranny from my 2gb eclipse GST Spyder. I'm wondering, will the transmission and engine bolt on to the GS Spyder? I've heard the 4g64 has the same motor mounts and even the 4g63 would bolt onto the 4g64 tranny but how about if I put in the tranny from my 4g63 into the spyder and drop in my 4g63? Would it work? I have my whole car I can work with when it comes to parts.


Also no, I can't make a hybrid 4g64/4g63 engine since it doesn't come with it unless I ask the guy for it, he blew the motor as well.

Yes, the engine and transmission will drop right in. There are some changes to the wiring harness that need to be made to work with the 4g63 DOHC as well as the turbo ECU. A quick search will reveal tons of information on the subject. You could even thrown some oversized, low compression pistons in the 4g64 engine and swap the 4g63 head and trans on it for a turbocharged torque monster.

Changes to the gs wiring harness? I was told that I could use my gst wiring harness to avoid some wiring.

Yes, that is also a great option. I would personally rather modify parts of a harness than rip the entire thing out. But either way you can't go wrong.
