ok, im gonna be runnin an evo3 16g w/34mm flapper, and i have a couple questions about how i am gonna tune my car. im gonna also install full 3" turbo back exhaust, 3' GM mafs and MAFT, aeromotive afpr and a 255 walbro fp. will the stock 450s hold up at like 14psi for a couple weeks or will i need injectors rite away? i also wanted to know wut combonation of tuning devices will work the best without using a standalone setup. eg. scanmaster, MAFT, and wideband.....will that be enough. or should i wait for dsmlink for my 1g laser, and how long till it comes out......thank u guys very much......any and all advice is greatly appreciated

Andrew

From the questions you are asking. You seem to be new to the tuning realm.

Since you are getting the MAFT. Tune with that. You don't need anything else as long as you are going to be getting a new one which will have the new version. It will tune in 2% increments in fine tuning mode, which will get the car tuned good.

your stock injectors will be fine at 14psi. you don't really need a 255 pump unless you plan on upgrading to a much larger turbo somewhere in the future

oh yeah as far as tuning devices go you can get it tuned pretty good with a datalogger and wideband. If you have cash burning your pockets the stand alone would be great :thumb:

I'm not trying to start an argument, But I think honestly if he is getting the evo 16g, He will definatly need the fuel mods to go along with it. I just put on a big 16g , And I left my stock injectors in for 1 day, And the car wouldent even run. If you are getting a bigger turbo, I would definatly get all of the supporting mods, Especially the fuel mods also. I wouldent run 14psi on an evo 16g with stock fuel system, But that is just me.

you can run 14psi just fine just don't go above that. Use the maft to tune with the pocketlogger if you have one. If you have the money to get the fuel mods then do so as well. You could consider a 190 walbro and hold off on the afpr for a little bit if money is tight but if you can get it also. Other than that you should be fine

i did do some research about the supporting mods needed to support the evo3, if u read my original post, i said that i already have an aeromotive afpr wit -6an inlet and outlet fitting on the fuel rail. and i also have a walbro 255 installed. so i guess my question is: with the walbro 255, and afpr will the new version of the MAFT and gm mafs be enough to tune my car, and should i definetly buy some injectors or will the stockers work for a week or so.

what kinda system requirements will the palm need and wut tuning software would i use

thanx alot for the replies, and keep um comin

Andrew

just pick a palm from ebay that will work. Also you can take a look at this website www.pocketlogger.com. Even though if you don't pick their software these have a good section on what pda's work and system requirements etc
