My boost gauge only goes up to 20, and after I adjusted it up after the first log, it was pegged for a good few seconds before finally settling at 19 psi. I believe it probably creeped to 21-22 psi, although I barely adjusted my mbc bolt.

Does this not seem a little extraordinary for the stock smic and stock fuel pump? I was surprised at how good timing appears to be throughout the logs, with the exception of the last data point (which may be an error of some sort, since that's exactly when I let off the gas).

Thoughts?

Timing will advance when you take your foot off the gas. The second log shows knock that the first log didn't...probably heatsoak if you pulled these one after the other.

Yeah, I'm going to go back and add +1% with the AFC for 4400-4800rpm, see if that fixes that low dip.

Log looks decent and timing is about right at the end for using the evo 560cc... if i were you id richen it up a little more than 1%... try starting with about 3 or 4% and if your running rich than just back it off a little... better to be safe than sorry

I believe it is spooling later than usual because of an exhaust leak I have :( I'm positive it is before the turbo, just not sure how major it is. It is loud, but any exhaust leak will be loud :p

Travis can tell you that it does not sound good... I will have that fixed before I log again, in addition to adding fuel in the flat spots. But yes, I think the turbo reaches full spool right before 4k rpm.

Damn that doesn't look to bad...I know when I first put in my 16Gevo I took it out to make sure it worked before I install the pump and 650s but it knocked bad right about 5500K rpms. The injectors must have maxed out. Glad I didn't bust anything.

That's gotta be kinda scary taking it up to redline with a stock fuel pump though. Totally looks like you have some knock on that last log. OMG

turn the boost down, its obvious int he 2nd run you were knocking. You should never have to go into positive numbers on a afc. Turn the boost down and leave it there, tune for that. More boost doesnt always mean faster.

Don't worry, the boost will stay at 17 psi until my 190lph is installed. The 20 psi run was to see how close I was to the limits of my current setup, considering the 17 psi log seems right on. I didn't know if there was even more room to improve.

I'm not in positive settings anywhere on my SAFC, btw...

EDIT>> Thanks for the help/advice from everyone! NewB2dsm, I just checked your profile, and your car is sick. That's the kind of 16g powered car I'm lookin' for ;)

Thanks, and sorry about the positive thing i missread one of your posts. Even with the 190, i would still say you will heat soak the intercooler in the top of 3rd gear and into 4th at 20psi. But just keep checking your logger, look for no single digets and about 18-21 desgrees up higher in the rpm. what do your afc setttings look like? -20% or more?
