just wondering if it is possible to do and if it is whats needed. also do the brakes work to.

First off your a Rookie so I'll just be nice and inform you that there are dozen's of thread's about the EVO VIII intercooler on a DSM. Just have to search for them. It is possible to do it but the EVO VIII intercooler isn't that great to begin with so it is more worth your time to get a nice core off of ebay and make piping for that. Plus it's easier to do because the endtank's don't point downward like on the EVO VIII one's. So in answer to your question it is possible to do it but would be more worth your time to get a cheap eBay core and fabricate piping for that. As for the brake one...I would go with something aftermarket like TCE or Baer's. Cost being the big thing. You aren't just going to find a set of EVO caliper's laying around a junkyard. You will have to modify your caliper hardware to get them to bolt-up anyways. Some good vented or slotted rotor's and ceramic pads will be more than 75% of people on this site need to stop there car.

thanks for the info, i can get one for 100.00 so i thought it was a good deal.

Good deal but would take to much time and they aren't all the efficient. You can get a good big core off of ebay for $180.00 and get some bends out of JCWhitney or from a parts store and weld them up yourself.

No bumping threads (replying to your thread for the sole purpose of moving it to the top of the forum for more exposure). If your question doesn't get answered, it's either because you didn't provide enough info, your profile isn't filled in, or you asked a question that was already answered in our FAQ forum. I know I'm not a mod but it would suck to get in trouble for that. :nono: Might want to check the rules more closely. Good luck dsming!

Yeah, it's possible. I've done it so u can pm me for instructions. The core bumper is gonna have to be taken off if u want it to fit right. Other than that it's just mounting the fmic and getting custom pipes.

Yeah, just check out the thread about ebay intercoolers. You can get all the piping and everything pretty cheaply. I think the xs power 1g kit is right at $300, which to me, is a pretty dang good deal. But to answer your question, yes the intercooler will work, but it isn't worth it IMO. Same for the brakes

I'm sure this guy has forgotten about this thread by now, he hasn't posted since last September, which is when this thread is from.
