evo turbo on eagle talon?? guy told me it wouldnt work cause it would spin backwards

(but it wont work on ## car. the 4G63 in the evo is backwards so my turbo would spin backwards on ## car.

mitsubishi did that on purpose so ppl wouldnt do motor swaps)

how would the turbo turn backwards on our cars? and what does he mean by this? the quote above is what he said to me.

turbo won't spin backwards, exhaust still goes through the turbo and spools it.

the 4g63's are reversed but that has nothing to do with a turbo, people put evo turbo's in their talons/eclipses/lasers every day.

yea just about over half of all dsm cars out there have the EVO III 16G TURBO and they are awsome.

If your talking about one from an 8 or a 9, no go.

An Evo 8-9 Turbo can be made it work and it has been done before but for the amount of fabrication required it makes no financial sense...

It's a twin scroll, and has a different inlet flange for starters.

Don't buy it. A person could make it work, but you'd need a custom manifold and it would be a lot of work and expense. Get an Evo III turbo if you want an equivalent turbo. They only cost $599 new.

EVO3 turbos are significantly different from the 8,9,and 10's. The 3 will bolt on, the others won't. Why? Flange, and orientation. It doesn't matter which way it spins unless you are taking it apart and changing the wheels.
