Resolved EVO III GT 16G turbo

Recently picked this up.
My main thing is there’s no serial or anything just EVO III GT - knock off?

These are very high up on the hierarchy of knock-off turbos, they're old but reliable and perform pretty well. I'd run it.

That is a knock off 16g that SBR "Slow Boy Racing" was selling like 20 years ago. If you dig through the archives you'll see the whole shit storm around it.

I actually bought one a couple months ago to bolt on the garage wall just to chuckle at every time I look at it.

I figured lack of serial of any kind was probably a knock off but you never know, but it has no shaft play and looks strong/sturdy so will probably run it for a little while, until I can get my hands on a GENUINE holset. Thanks CD9A

Chrck out Goldfarb associates, they have their own website but I found it easier to navigate their ebay listings, but they are a wholesale dealer with authentic Holset products for sale. I picked up a brand new hx35 8 blade turbo with 14cm housing for $600. Serial numbers and paper work all matched and everything checked out.

Yes sir they seem pretty solid for a wholesale company and they were willing to communicate back and forth with me to find what I was looking for. I picked up an hx35 t3 twin scroll 8 blade wheel in 14cm housing. They offered a 1 year warranty as well.
