EVO III 16G with 450's?

Yes the motor that layed down 400 horse on the evo is pretty well built

Your going to need alot more than that to do 400whp, I know SBR just broke 400whp on their e3 16g and that is a shop built car that was most likely on race gas and alot bigger injectors than 550's , 400whp on an e3 and 550's is just not a reasonable goal, maybe 325-350, 400 thats pushing it.

400hp is pushing it but i am 75% done with my supporting mods, 255 pump . afpr. safc2. maf translator. front mount. 3 inch exhaust with ported 2g o2 housing , evo 3 mani, and ported evo 16g.etc.etc.etc. all i need is to port my head/cams/sheet metal intake and waiting for dsmlink to come out for 1gens....

i agree totally! but i do believe 350wheel is very easy to do with the right fuel!

Don't for get a 2.3 liter motor with forged internals running 24 or so PSI with way bigger injectors than 550's. by all means if you hit 400 your good, but i dont see it happening anytime soon.

Our 400 Horse pull was on stock 1G intake manifold.

Its funny how whenever someone asks a question like this, people always come up with examples like "I did it with X" where X = something like methanol injection, race gas, dylithium crystals, etc. I gather from the first post that this person doesn't have resources for anything exotic to bolster his octane needs, nor is he out to make one miracle pass down a dragstrip. Sounds to me like he wants to get his car off the premises and make it home so he can chug around on a daily basis until he can muster up the funds to cover his upgrades.
